Author, mental health advocate, and activist Wendy Adamson, comes onto The Collective to discuss her books Mother Load and Incorrigible, mental health, addiction, overcoming internal struggles, incarceration, homelessness, and how she and her son founded the non profit—Hav A Sol.
Wendy Adamson is a mental health advocate, a motivational speaker, and the author of two memoirs, Mother Load and Incorrigible which chronicle her own struggles with addiction, mental health, and incarceration, and her stories have been published in the Huffington Post. Wendy volunteers extensively at her son’s non-profit, Hav A Sole, an organization that serves marginalized communities. As a beacon of hope, Wendy has been invited to speak in prisons, on stage, and on public radio. Wendy believes by sharing these stories it will help break the stigmas associated with ex-offenders and addicts. In 2022, Wendy received a commendation from the County of Los Angeles for her dedicated service to the community. In 2023, she was also recognized by the Women’s Association for Addiction Treatment (WAAT) for her commitment to service.
