About: The Injustice of Virginity
"It’s time to get metaphorically naked with “The Injustice of Virginity,” a thought-provoking and uniquely told neurodivergent satirical comedy of errors. Through Justice's experiences, the play examines themes of sexual expectations, gender identity, and the search for authenticity in a hyper-sexualized world where the rules of attraction are hilariously illogical. This one-person show promises to leave audiences laughing, reflecting, and questioning their own assumptions about virginity, identity, and what it truly means to belong."
About: Thea Pueschel
Third-generation Californian, excommunicated JW, nonbinary, neurodivergent director, producer, and writer Thea Pueschel is debuting as a playwright at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2025. Pueschel's directorial debut for the stage was at Short + Sweet Hollywood in 2024. Thea’s literary work and screenplays often feature California as a character and explore the topography, cultures, and subcultures, as settings, that are often unique to “The Golden State.” The impetus that brought The Injustice of Virginity to life was a culmination of factors: a lifelong dream to direct one’s own work for the stage and a desire to create an accessible theater experience, which was ignited by the anti-DEIA rhetoric of the current administration.
We are all apart of the collective. It is not a special group or community out of anyone’s reach. The trees, the earth, the plants, the insects, the animals, and humans are all apart of the collective. We each have something to give to the world and our communities around us. It’s in knowing how to care for the ones we love, the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. It is all self-care. Community care is self-care. And together we are more than community, we are like the stars singing in the sky. We are music and our voices are the hum of the universe. Because we are of the earth and things of stars, and so is every thing on this earth.
Thank you for listening in on the conversation. I hope that we can all come together to create positive change.
